His research group studies gene mutations associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathies to understand the delicate balance between peripheral nerve homeostasis and degeneration. From genetics, his team proceeds with functional characterization of specific mutations in cell and animal models, and explores therapeutic approaches.
