Grants & Collaborative Research

We turn good ideas into funded, collaborative science.

We help CMN researchers move from spark to strategy, funding, and impact–with minimal administrative drag.

From idea to impact

Scope & fit

Text

We assess feasibility, map funding options (EU, FWO, NIH, foundations, industry), and align aims, timelines, and eligibility.

Strategy & partners

Text

We help position your project, assemble the right consortium, define roles, and assist you in planning data/ethics/GDPR from day one.

Proposal development

Text

From concept note to full application: we are here to help outline objectives, work packages, methods, milestones, budget, management, and exploitation/impact. We draft, edit, and harmonize across partners.

Review & polish

Text

We run internal reviews to stress-test significance, feasibility, and clarity. We optimize figures, narratives, and evaluation criteria responses.

Submission & follow-up

Text

We manage forms, letters, and portals; coordinate signatures; and guide rebuttals to reviewer feedback.

Post-award support

Text

Finally, we provide advice on how to manage the research project and approach post-award duties such as scientific reporting, data management, and ethical approval.

Strengthening our collaborative fabric

Many projects are co-led by multiple PIs, and PhD/postdoc tracks feature dual mentorship. We help connect CMN expertise to international consortia across Europe and the US (e.g., EADB, EMIF, BELNEU, Epi25), ensuring proposals and deliverables land on time and to spec.

Useful Resources

GDPR compliance

All projects using primary or secondary personal data must comply with GDPR. UAntwerp maintains an “Ethics & Data Management” registry per project. We provide templates, examples, and review.

Human data

We advise on receiving, storing, processing, publishing, repository upload, and sharing human datasets—what counts as anonymous, what remains under GDPR, and the consequences for consent and access.

GrantsQuest

Your single stop for tracking ongoing projects, finding opportunities, and centralizing grant information. We use GrantsQuest to streamline reporting and set strategic priorities.
